Terms of Service

Last updated: July 12, 2026

This is a generic template for an SSO / identity provider. Have counsel review and customize it before relying on it in production.

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using hnndl (“Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. The Service

hnndl provides single sign-on and related authentication services so you can sign in once and access applications that integrate with hnndl (“Relying Parties”). Features may change as we improve the Service.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

4. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the Service, including by attempting to break or bypass authentication, probe systems without authorization, abuse APIs, impersonate others, distribute malware, or use the Service for unlawful purposes. Automated access is allowed only as documented for legitimate integration.

5. Relying Parties and SSO

When you sign in to a Relying Party through hnndl, that party may receive identity assertions needed to authenticate you (for example, that you are signed in and basic account identifiers). Your use of each Relying Party is also subject to that party’s own terms and policies. hnndl is not responsible for Relying Party sites, products, or data practices.

6. Availability and changes

We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted Service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with or without notice when needed for security, maintenance, or operations.

7. Intellectual property

hnndl, its branding, software, and documentation remain our property or that of our licensors. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the Service. You retain rights to your account content; you grant us a limited license to process it solely to operate the Service.

8. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HNNDL AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR ZERO IF YOU PAID NOTHING).

10. Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify hnndl against claims arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of others’ rights, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons. Provisions that by nature should survive (including liability limits and IP) will survive termination.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the hnndl operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory local consumer law says otherwise. Courts in that jurisdiction have exclusive venue, except where law requires otherwise.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance. Material changes may also be communicated through the Service when practical.
